
Student Quickstart Guide
what you'll need:
A Transcribbit account
A smartphone or computer with a modern standards compliant browser

Part 2:
Participating in a lecture
Step 1:
All live lectures will appear under the "Ongoing Lectures" tab, select the class you are in to enter the lecture
Step 1a:
if needed, give the app permissions.
Note: you may need to click on the enable emphasis button and then click show notifications. It is not neccisary but it will let you know exactly when the teacher is saying something important with a notification


Now you can view the transcript while listening to your lecture! Emphasised text will appear in blue!
Step 2:
To ask a question, simply highlight and select text, and hit the ask a question button

Step 2a:
Then just go to the question box, type in your question and hit Ask. The teacher will see not only the question but also the context and can answer before or after class.


Part 3:
Highlighting and Notes
Step 1:
To highlight, simply highlight and select text, and hit the add note or highlight buttons
Step 2:
Then you can write your note! Soon you will be able to attach images of the blackboard, slideshow, or drawings and it will all be linked to what the teacher is saying!

Step 3:
To remove highlights, select highlighted text, then hit the remove highlight button.

this will remove the highlighted text


Part 5:
Exiting your lecture
Step 1:
To exit the lecture hit the back to lecture list button
Step 2:
You will be able to view, download and export lectures, and edit their names at the saved lectures view on the Student page.​
You can also search lectures and notes for keywords!
